Common questions

What should I wear?

Thick jeans (or sturdy long pants) and closed-toe shoes. Denim is the single biggest thing that protects your skin if you tumble — more useful than a helmet for most beginner falls. Tights, leggings, shorts or thin pants give almost no protection, so save those for after you're comfortable on the bike.

Do I need a helmet or pads?

Up to you — we don't require them. If you'd like protection, bring your own helmet, gloves or pads. We'll never push gear you don't want.

Can I learn in just one lesson?

Yes — averagely, most of our students manage to pedal on their own by the end of their first 60-minute session. Coming back for subsequent lessons aids in locking it in, manoeuvring and braking.

How many lessons do most people need?

Our honest suggestion: within 2–4 lessons is a good gauge to get you rolling. Lesson 1 — balancing; lessons 2–3 — manoeuvring and braking; lesson 4 — real-world skills (confidence riding while braking and manoeuvring in a lightly crowded park).

Do you bring the bike?

Only if you add it on (+S$5/lesson). Otherwise bring your own — any working bike is fine. Kindly take note, currently we do not provide bicycles for kids below 12 years old.

Can adults learn from scratch?

Absolutely! About 90% of our adult students are first-timers. So fret not — start learning now.
